Here are the standings for the SENIOR division after 2 of 3 playoff games.

The 3rd game for each team will be played on Saturday Dec 9th at either 12:00 pm or 1:30 pm. After these games are complete, we'll update the 3-game playoff standings and determine the seeding for the final games of the season.

• THESE ARE NOT TEAMS FOR THE SEASON, NOR ARE THEY REGULAR PRACTICE TIMES. TEAMS AND PRACTICE SCHEDULES WILL BE POSTED NEXT WEEK.
• PLEASE ONLY ATTEND YOUR SCHEDULED COMBINE DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION. DO NOT ATTEND A DIFFERENT NIGHT / TIME / OR LOCATION BECAUSE IT'S MORE CONVENIENT OR BECAUSE SOMEONE YOU KNOW WILL BE GOING.

Our winter house league program is back for another season!

BOTH THE SENIOR & JUNIOR DIVISIONS ARE NOW FULL

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

NOTE: REQUESTS TO PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM AS ANOTHER PLAYER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. THIS IS DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF REQUESTS RECEIVED IN THE PAST WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO CONSTRUCT BALANCED TEAMS, AND IS VERY TIME CONSUMING.

GENERAL:

For boys and girls (mixed) in grades 5-8.

Divisions will be divided as follows: grades 5/6 (Junior) and grades 7/8 (Senior).

Each division will have a maximum of 8 teams (10 players per team).

Each team will practice 1 time each week, and play 1 game on Saturday.

We cannot provide details regarding your specific practice night, time, or location until the teams are made. Teams cannot be made until registration is closed and until after the completion of the combine on January 20.

If you decide to register, you need to be prepared that your practice night could be any of the following nights: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Potential gyms used for practices include: Northwood Public School, Sandwich West Public School, Herman Academy, Brock Public School, and Bellewood Public School.

ALL games are on Saturday's at Massey High School except the final Saturday which is the Day of Champions, which will be held at Herman Academy.

Junior games will be in the morning beginning at 9 am each Saturday. Other possible game times are 10:30 am (depends on the number of teams).

Senior games will follow junior games, with start times at either 10:30 am, 12 pm, or 1:30 pm (depends on the number of teams).

COST

The cost for each participant is $150. This cost includes a reversible jersey that the player will keep. Jerseys will be handed out at the first team practice.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are no longer accepting payment by credit card. Preferred payment method is e-transfer.

COMBINE:

We will again be running a combine to assess each player's skill level to help us construct competitive teams.

The combine will be held at W. F. Herman Academy Secondary School on Saturday January 20th from 9 am - 3 pm.

An email will be sent out to the email(s) on your registration to inform you which time slot you'll be asked to attend (9-10:30, 10:30-12, 12-1:30 or 1:30-3).

Teams will be constructed on January 21st and posted to the website that night. You will receive an email to notify you that the teams are posted. You'll then be able to check the website and find out your practice night and times.

OTHER DATES:

• JANUARY 20: Combine / workout - all participants will participate in a drills and skills workout where players will be evaluated to help us construct balanced teams for the season.
  • TIME & LOCATION:
    • W. F. Herman Academy Secondary School (1905 Bernard Rd s, Windsor, ON N8W 0A8)
    • 9 am - 3 pm (9-10:30, 10:30-12, 12-1:30, 1:30-3)
    • Once registration closes, you will receive an email regarding the time slot that you'll be asked to attend

• JANUARY 21:  Teams will posted to the website

• WEEK OF JANUARY 22-26:  First team practices begin

  • Once the teams are made, you will find out which practice night your team will have. If you register to play, you must be prepared that your practice night could be either on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. There's no way for us to tell you which day until the teams are made.

• JANUARY 27:  First game for all teams!

  • Massey Secondary School (north and south gyms)

  • Junior division will play first beginning at 9 am and could possibly have some 10:30 games as well.

  • Senior division will follow the junior games with possible start times of 10:30, 12, and 1:30 depending on the number of teams in each division.

• SCHEDULED GAME DATES:  (all at Massey Secondary School)

  • January 27, Feb 3, Feb 10

  • NO GAMES on Feb 17 - Family Day Weekend

  • Feb 24, March 2

  • NO GAMES March 9 and 16 - March Break

  • March 23

  • NO GAMES March 30 - Easter Weekend

  • April 6, April 13

• DAY OF CHAMPIONS:  April 20 (at W. F. Herman Academy Secondary School)

• APRIL 27: Flex week - if any previous Saturday gets cancelled by the school board, we will push the schedule back and this will become the final week (Day of Champions).

CALL FOR HOUSE LEAGUE COACHES

PARENT COACHES

To make this year's house league program successful, we need each team to have a dedicated volunteer coach. We are asking some parents to step up and coach their son or daughter's team. You don't have to have experience as a coach, and your basketball knowledge doesn't have to be at an elite level. 

We're seeking parents that:

• Can commit to 1 practice and 1 game per week.
• Will be responsible for team basketballs for the season.
• Have a positive and encouraging attitude.

We will have a dedicated coaching page on our website with easy to follow practice plans for the season, and videos and PDF's of drills that can be used at practice so that you have everything you need for a successful season.

DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS YOU WILL BE ASKED IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN COACHING A TEAM.  PLEASE INDICATE YOUR INTEREST AT THAT TIME.
